I had a pain in my left lymh node which was causing me earaches, headaches, toothaches, migranes, and neck pain for nearly two weeks. I went to my dentist to see if it was a cavitiy, it wasn't then I was told to see an endodontist for a possible root canal, nope not that either. I was then refered to a TMJ specialsit who couldn't see me for two weeks. I asked my sister in law if she knew anyone, she asked Dr. Kerbel and learned that he treats TMJ. I got into Dr. Kerbel much sooner and learned that I do haveTMJ. I was just so happy after my visit that I deciced to make Dr. Kerbel my regular dentist. Now my pain is all gone. I also don't have health inusrance and Dr. Kerbel's staff have worked with me to help with the cost by putting me on a payment schedule.

About Hygienist: Dr. Kerbel's dental hygienist is excellent. She is kind and gentle, does a thorough job, and leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean. They use an ultrasonic scraper first that removes most of the plaque. This reduces the amount of scraping to a minimum, which is nice. She really does a wonderful job!

Lets just say that my last visit to a dentist, prior to Dr. Kerbel, was when a molar was so painful I screamed in pain. Before that it was 10 years ago when my two front teeth were broken in half. I am the worst patient at the dentist. I always ask for gas - even to have my teeth cleaned. When I arrived today for a filling on my front tooth I was expecting the worst. Several shots for numbing, etc. I was surprised to find out that I was not going to have gas or any shots for numbing. Actually, a little frightened. Dr Kerbel told me that I could have the gas or shots if I felt it was needed and gave me the choice. I opted to try to act like a big girl(at age 50) and was extremely happy when the procedure was over and there was no pain. I have had several dentists in the past but Dr Kerbel is one in a million! He and his staff are genuinely caring and considerate. I am always treated with friendliness and respect as soon as I enter the door. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Kerbel for years. We honestly feel he is the very best dentist available-anywhere! We actually drive over 100 miles one way to visit him. Because of the distance we took our daughter for a routine cleaning to a local dentist near our home-they discovered a cavity. I freaked out, called Dr. Kerbel and had the x-ray sent to him. Dr.Kerbel is special. He is proficient, professional, and compassionate. I have cried in his office more than once over unsightly conditions that I thought could not be fixed. But due to his knowledge, skill and experience I have always left his office feeling like a mini-miracle had been performed. Just this past week, I called the after hours emergency answering service with a major front tooth problem. Dr.Kerbel called me back promptly, he listened to my frantic concerns, and he had a solution that got me through the night. He was able to pull up his appointments from his home computer and he worked me in for a 7:30 a.m. appointment the next morning. Before Dr. Kerbel I had endured over three years of painful procedures done by professionals who never listened to a thing I said. I avoided them for the next five years letting things get out of hand with the health of my mouth. I literally was so scared that I cried my first visit to Dr. Kerbel. My first procedure was the dreaded root canal and it was to the astonishment of every person I spoke to completely painless. I have just had my third one and I slept through the whole thing. He doesn't put you under, I was just that comfortable. I called his emergency line in the middle of the night in agonizing pain and he called me right back and I was taken care of by lunch the next day. His staff moved things around to fit me in right then so I didn't have to rely on pain pills until I could get in.

He listens to me, he comforts my fears, he makes me laugh, and he is above all sincere. He does what he can to save your teeth and make everything from the procedure to the payment plans available as simple as possible. I have raved about him to everyone I know who needs work and are afraid. I have told them about the absolutely amazing staff he has. I will never be able to thank him enough but I hope this helps.

I would recommend Dr. Kerbel and his staff with enthusiasm to anyone looking for state of the art, professional, and customer oriented care. Since moving to Dallas in 2000, we have tried 3 other dentists until finally finding Dr. Kerbel. I can't see us going to anyone else. This one is a keeper!

The first time I went to Dr. Kerbel he actually met w/me in a separate little consultation room and wanted to just "talk" about my dental history. Both of us sitting at a table, very unusual and appreciated. It was like he was approaching me as a person instead of as a subject. Once in the exam chairs they can turn on the back massager if you want, and there is a TV in the ceiling, and they give you headphones and your own remote. All the rooms have computers and moveable screens. The XRays are digital and immediately come up on the computer screen, where they can zoom in on anything if need be. I believe the XRays being digital require less exposure if I am not mistaken. Everything in this office is pretty much paperless. Oh - and they took a photo of me smiling during my first visit to have on record what my smile actually looks like, just in case there was ever need to do any reconstructive work. Above and beyond is normal here.

About Hygienist: I was very impressed with the hygienist, and as far as removing tartar, they have this ultrasonic (I think that is what it is) tool that works fast and effectively -- so not so much SCRAPING on your teeth with the pointy tool. (Sorry, my dental terminology is not technical). And I was also offered (if I wanted it only) a flouride treatment, which NO DENTIST has ever even bothered to offer me since I was a child. I guess the assumption is that once you are an adult you don't need this? Well, I was darn happy to have the option. And, they come right to you in your room to let you pay, no going and standing in line at a counter. Very pleasant, very customer service oriented, and just an all around great experience.

I decided to get braces as an adult & my orthodontist highly recommended Dr. Kerbel to extract 4 teeth to relieve overcrowding. Right from the start I would be a challenge to work on since the braces were in the way. As bad as having teeth "pulled" sounds it went smoothly. Over the next 4 years we decided to make many improvements. I've had 30 year old fillings replaced, wisdom teeth removed, & gum line surgery. All of these things turned out better than I had hoped. All of my appointments went just as planned. Both the work Dr. Kerbel did and the Oral Surgeons he sent me to were all top notch. Because I had such misshaped teeth I decided to have veneers on some of them after the braces were removed.

He gave me the look I wanted, a very natural looking smile. Dr. Kerbel has a great talent to see these more complicated jobs

from start to finish. A lot of information out there promises

a quick fix, if you need this much work done it will take some time to do correctly. When it's done the time is well worth it .
