My first visit to Dr Shaw was in 1984 when his office was on Skillman. I moved to McKinney in 1999. I tried going to a local dentist in McKinney but could not get the same professional and caring service that I had experienced. I recommend anyone looking for a dentist in the Dallas area, that they start and stay with Dr Shaw. You will find that your fear of going to the dentist will vanish.

Dr. Shaw is amazing! Everyone at my office has been talking about him for two years...so I finally went to check him out. He is so friendly, makes you feel relaxed and has very current equipment/procedures.

I had to get a filling and he was so gentle, I didn't even feel the shot! I have had nothing but bad experiences with dentists until I came to Dr. Shaw! He and the hygienists are very accomodating and really explain to you what they're doing, why they're doing it, etc. as they go along so there are no surprises (which I really appreciate).

We switched to Dr. Shaw, not only because his office closer to our home but also because his excellent reviews.

Dr. Shaw and his staff performed teeth cleaning and filling for us. The service was very good. The facility setup is more like a high-tech hotel, LCD TV, massage chair, digital dental camera, etc.

I then asked Dr. Shaw to make a dental bridge after I was confident with his service. The cost is not covered by my dental insurance. So I visited several dentist office before I made the decision to let Dr. Shaw did the service. His charge was just a little bit expensive then other dentists, so I was willing to use his service and strong believed it worth the extra cost. So far the bridge works well; I hope it will last for at least 10 years.

The staff of Dr. Shaw's office are all very helpful and friendly. We are not native English speaker, so Dr. Shaw and his staff are very patient to explain everything to us slowly and repeatedly, like we are kindergartners.

Normally patients have to make the cleaning appointment a few weeks in advance. My wife and I asked the staff put us on waiting list in case someone cancel the appointment. The front desk was very helpful on this. We were able to get the service in a week.

I love Dr. Shaw. I am the world's most nervous dental patient. I have to get nitrous to clean my teeth! The staff is great, the office is beautiful, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed, which helps me relax. It has taken me years to find a dentist that I trust, and if I ever move out of state, I would fly back twice a year for my cleanings.

My husband and I started seeing Dr. Shaw and his staff when we first moved to Dallas. Our son started seeing him at the age of 3 (now 20) and I would rate him right up there with many pediatric dentists. They handle all ages well and are careful and sensitive to people who are anxious about seeing a dentist.

The fact that so many of his staff have been there for such a long time says a lot about their employer!!

The girls from the front desk to the back are wonderful and make you feel like family. The office is clean and warm.

I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment and are very considerate about working around my schedule.

I called Dr. Shaw after hours once for a new neighbor (victim of Katrina) who didn't have a dentist and he called me back in less than an hour with a referral for her!

I've been going to Dr. Shaw since I was a toddler and I can't imagine having a better dentist. You can't put a price tag on the kind of relationship he establishes and has with his patients. I once strayed to a new dentist since I'm no longer living in the area but after that quick experience I came running back to Dr. Shaw. The staff are great and have always been willing to work out financial arrangements. One of my favorite memories of growing up visiting Dr. Shaw is the kids "toy chest" filled with goodies for little ones to have their pick of after a cleaning. I now have a son of my own and I can't wait for his first visit to Dr. Shaw.

My husband and I drive about 30 miles (one-way) to see Dr Shaw on a regular basis. Procedures included regular exams, filings, and crowns. We love him and the office staff. We don't change dentists to a more convenient location because we can't imagine finding anyone better. (It is quite magic how he delivers an almost pain-free shot.)

I am not a fan of dentist. It was so bad that I did not go for over 10 years. I eventually eased out of the fear when I was 22 because of a kind staff and great dentist. Still it has been 2-3 years since I had been to him (lost insurance when graduated college), and knew I needed to see a dentist soon. Since moving Dallas, I searched on this same website for ratings, and looked at a variety of websites and pictures. Well first I must say, I actually dont mind the dentist. Although I dont particularly care of the drilling and such, I must say the staff is amazing. They have influenced me so much that actually floss daily and even use mouth wash and all. I ask a lot of questions so much, that it doesnt bother them and they are happy to answer.

They even broke down the cost of the payments and what would be the best for me (instead of racking up on doctors appointment charges). I am a huge fan of this staff, and the message chairs. I am fairly calms before I get into the chair. They honestly make sure everything is okay, especially knowing I am afraid.

I just starting seeing Dr. Shaw for periodontal issues and I have to say that my experience has been nothing but positive. Dr. Shaw and his entire staff are the most caring and compassionate that I've ever encountered! They are also highly skilled and very professional, making me feel extremely confident about the quality of care. I have Chronic Kidney Disease and Dr. Shaw is great at understanding and working with my special needs. My children (11 and 3) actually love going to the dentist! The surroundings in the clinic are lovely and restful (awesome play/wait area for kids) and they always greet you like an old friend! They have taken care of everything with my insurance, as well. They really do their best to keep things 'worry free' for their patients and they will be caring for my family's teeth from now on! He is quick, but detailed with his work and all procedures were completely painless. He has a very calming demeanor, but if you really want to relax, you can use the massaging chair and listen to his wide selection of music. Dr. Shaw also has the best office staff that I have ever seen, at any doctors office. The staff is courteous, responsive, efficient and never any issues with billing or insurance.
